From inspections to full-service turnkey replacement services, our core business focuses around all aspects of Passenger Boarding Bridges. We self-perform our PBB field work with full-time AERO employees who are experts within this field and who understand airside operations and airside construction. We can deliver projects of all sizes, ranging from a single gate refurbishment to large PBB replacement programs, like at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport where our 116-gate replacement was the largest PBB replacement in US history.
AERO typically procures more PBB/GSE equipment on an annual basis than any other firm across the Nation, so we offer our clients strong buying power and schedule control with PBB/GSE manufacturers. Please contact us to discuss your PBB project and we are happy to tailor our services for your project.
We have the resources and capabilities to support general construction projects. We routinely perform, coordinate and manage turnkey general airside construction projects. These projects can be either a small stand-alone project or part of a larger airside improvement program. We regularly complete site civil, foundations, pavement markings, building skin modifications, interior holdroom modifications, gate counter millwork, interior wayfinding, interior mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, SAACS, low voltage and similar work to support airside gate improvements.
We offer expert services for all aircraft mechanical support systems, including, point-of-use preconditioned air (PCA), central system air handler units (AHU), roof top units (RTU), ventilators, potable water cabinets (PWC), telescoping air ducts (TAD), glycol pantographs as well as associated ducting, hoses and controls work.
AERO has a strong history leading the design, installation, commissioning or refurbishment of glycol central systems. This includes turnkey scope from the AHU’s or central RTU’s on the passenger boarding bridge back to the chiller equipment room, ice tanks and chiller systems, including all distribution piping.
Since the 1990’s, AERO has installed, managed and commissioned hundreds of hydrant fuel pits across the Country. Many apron improvement projects include relocation of existing hydrant fuel pits, and we are fully capable of completing a complete hydrant fueling scope. We offer the in-house experience and knowledge to meet your hydrant fueling needs. We performed turnkey hydrant fuel work at airports nationwide, including recent projects at ATL, MEM, IAD, DCA, CVG, OAK and PHX. Please contact us to learn more.
As we continue to move forward, there are a wide variety of new gate system technologies available. We are leading our niche industry to implement these specialty systems. Specialty systems scope can include gate management systems, artificial intelligence cameras, ramp management software, PBB autonomous docking, and intelligent power systems. We also have vast experience integrating new PBB/GSE equipment into existing airport-specific special systems, which could include fire alarm, SAACS, voice paging, fire protection, electrified door hardware or wifi.
